Our Purpose
Laurel Baptist Church exist to labor together in the work of Jesus Christ. We carry out this purpose in a threefold process:

Connecting
Acts 2:41, "Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls."
Through relationships and evangelism our focus is to connect people to Jesus Christ and His local church.

Growing 2 Peter 3:18, "But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." We grow together in Christ through attentiveness to and application of God's Word. Discipleship, small group fellowships, and weekly worship services work together to help us grow in God's Word.

Serving 1 Peter 4:10, "As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God." We desire to serve Jesus Christ out of a heavenly affection and a genuine heart for God. Leading people to Christ and serving one another is at the heart of a genuine New Testament Church.

Our Identity
Laurel Baptist Church is an independent Baptist Church that is fundamental in doctrine and Baptist in distinction. Being independent means that our church is self-governing, and Christ is our Head. Fundamental refers to an adherence to the core doctrines of the faith as stated in
our beliefs. The term Baptist identifies these distinctives:
