Queen City Youth Rallies

 Threefold Purpose:

 1. Evangelism - We believe that there are never too many opportunities to try and evangelize the youth of our city. It is our desire that  every person in attendance be confronted with the gospel of Jesus Christ through the preaching of God's Word. Every service involves dynamic Bible preaching and an opportunity for people to respond to that preaching through a time of invitation. Trained altar workers on always on hand to help counsel and pray with anyone that responds.

2. Spiritual Growth - Recognizing that the average teenager has more negative influences surrounding them than positive influences, it is our desire that each youth rally be a means to help parents and pastors influence their teens in spiritual growth. Guest preachers are prayerfully selected in order to ensure that the preaching leads the young people in attendance to a closer and more intimate walk with God. It is our prayer that the Queen City Youth Rallies assist local churches in producing not only good teens, but godly teens.

3. Fun and Fellowship - Queen City Youth Rallies provide a means of Christian fellowship that may not be available to every teenager. The participation of many Baptist youth groups from across our area allows the young people in attendance to see the Lord working in the lives of others their age. This is also a great opportunity for area youth pastors to fellowship and share the blessing of God on their ministries with others. Each rally includes fun games and events that are sure to excite any person involved.

General Information:

Dates and Times: Most all of the services hosted each year take place on select Friday evenings at 7:00 pm. This allows us to have guest preachers that would need to be back in their home churches in time for Sunday services. Occasionally, a service will be scheduled on a Saturday when it works well for the visiting preacher.

Costs: We are happy to say that each Queen City Youth Rally is provided absolutely free to anyone attending. Usually a special offering is taken during the service to help cover the expenses, however, there is no expectation for anyone to pay for attending the rally.

Arrival: We encourage every group attending to do their best to arrive approximately 15-20 minutes prior to the start of the service. This allows everyone to get properly acquainted with our facilities before the beginning of the service. Also, this helps ensure that every group is able to sit together. Games and other entertainment are provided to help occupy the time.

Food: Every youth rally is immediately followed by a time of food and fellowship. We ask that each group register an approximate number of attendees prior to the youth rally so that adequate preparations can be made.

Host Churches: There are generally three Queen City Youth Rally services each year. Two rallies take place at Laurel Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC and one takes place at Promised Land Baptist Church in Gastonia, NC. Address and contact information for each church is provided below.
