We are always glad to have
guests at Laurel, and we understand that visiting a church
for the very first time can be a nervous experience. Where
to go? What to wear? What time to show up? What’s available
for my kids? At Laurel Church we want to put your mind at
ease and make your first visit refreshing, friendly, and
enjoyable for your entire family. We want you and your family
to feel right “at
home” as you experience refreshing music, relevant Bible
teaching, and a family atmosphere. |

Finding Our Church
Whether you live in Charlotte, Concord, Harrisburg, or the surrounding areas
our church is easy to find. We are located on 11801 Plaza Road Extension (You
can even see our property from I-485). Once you arrive, there will be parking
available close to our worship facility. Make your way to the main entrance
where our greeters will help direct you to the appropriate place. |
 |
 |
Knowing Where to Go
Once you arrive we will have greeters ready to show you where to go. They will
even be available to escort you to the appropriate nursery, class, and service.

What’s Available
for my Children?
At every service there are safe and clean nurseries for your
children. During the Bible study there are classes designed
especially for your child’s
age group. A children’s service is also available during
the morning worship service.

What’s the
morning schedule?
We provide breakfast items and refreshments every Sunday morning at 9:45am in
the fellowship hall before the Bible study classes begin. Classes for all age
groups begin at 10:00am and usually dismiss at 10:40am. These classes are smaller
groups that meet in specific age brackets. This provides practical teaching,
encouragement, and fellowship with others your age. Our morning worship service
begins at 11:00am. This service is filled with inspirational music from our
choir and special singing, followed by a clear, practical, Bible message from
Pastor Blankenship. This service is typically a little over one hour in length.

How should I dress?
There is not a dress code at Laurel Church for members or guests.
Our church leadership and many of our church families dress
in a more traditional “Sunday” dress;
however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable
on your visit with us.
|
|
 |
What about other opportunities to attend?
We have a Sunday evening service (completely different from the Sunday morning
service) that begins at 6:00pm every Sunday. In this service you will, again,
be able to hear the choir and other special music as well as a practical and
helpful message from Pastor Blankenship. We also meet on Wednesday evenings
at 7:00pm for Bible study and prayer. You are welcome to attend any of our
regular services!

Am I expected to participate in the offering?
No. We don’t invite you to Laurel Church for your offering.
We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope that you will
find our church to be a warm family atmosphere, help from God’s
Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace.
Please don’t feel any obligation
to participate in the offering as a guest.

|
| If there’s something we missed please call
us or feel free to ask when you arrive. We want your first
visit to Laurel to be a tremendous experience. It is our desire
to serve you and your family. Please let us know how we can
better help you. We look forward to seeing you this Sunday! |
